Not only in her cycle of the Way of the Cross Melanka Herbut has dealt with the problems and the sensitive experiential world of our visually handicapped and blind fellow human beings. She has also taken up subjects that are based on very personal experiences, that are important to her or that impress the painter in her, and she has tried to convey those as touchable portraits.
