Christ's Way of the Cross - for those who see and „those who see differently“

A project to build bridges

The social aspect in Melanka Herbut's art is clearly shown in her works on „Christ's Way of the Cross“. She's got a gift containing both chance and risk: sympathy for other people. This feeling is power-consuming. The Way of the Cross has been developped because that sympathy wants to be expressed by Melanka Herbut, getting her creative process going. Her being personally touched causes the feeling of sympathy. In this process referred to, it is „feeling with someone“. With the ability to see, I start getting into communication with blind and visually handicapped people trying to find a common basis. I'm entering into dialogue.
